The Cambus Quarter is a slightly unusual distance – a quarter marathon! The course takes you along the bank of the River Forth looping back to Cambus village, then through the Cambus Pools nature reserve before completing the loop along the Cambus path.

It has a possibly unique feature – you get to race a train! Well, almost.  With the reinstatement of the Alloa railway line in 2008, there is now a level crossing along the route. If you’re quick enough you won’t have to wait and watch a train go by.

The race allows more experienced runners to compete against each other, whilst at the same time allowing those new to the sport to find out what it’s all about. Mostly, the aim is to allow everyone to enjoy themselves.

There will be a BBQ and refreshments after the race at Cambus Bowling Club.

Event held Under UKA Athletics Rules and Scottish Athletics Licence
