📆 Monday 23rd March 2026
The Wee County Harriers ‘Couch to 10K’ is a 12-week training programme that we run twice per year – typically in spring/ summer, and again in autumn/ winter. You will be running from day one, gradually building up your fitness and endurance.
This C210K programme is designed for beginners, and anyone who feels they’d benefit from a structured approach to running.
What does the C210K programme involve?
For the duration of the 12-week programme, you will be invited to join a coached group session at Lornshill Academy athletics track on a Monday evening. Each week, you will also be expected to complete two additional runs (or run/ walks, depending where you are in the programme).
The programme concludes with a 10Km graduation run, typically in Tillicoultry.
What support is available?
Our coaches have run this programme for a number of years, so are very aware of the unique support that participants will need.
Club members frequently come along to the Monday group session to offer additional support and guidance.
Additionally, you will be invited to join a closed Spond group with your fellow participants. This has proven to be a fantastic motivational tool, and is a great place to find company for your two additional weekly runs.
How do I sign up?
Please note that this programme is available to over 18s only. It is free of charge, but places are limited so they are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If demand is exceptionally high, we will operate a waiting list.
